What will you do as Procurement assistant?

The procurement assistant plays a key role in the movement of goods. Manage, plan and assist in every stage of the production process from raw material to the final product.

 Responsibilities:
The purchasing assistant will be involved in: 
 
  • Planning delivery timetables 
  • Ensuring stock levels 
  • Checking suppliers stock levels 
  • Tracking products lead times 

Characteristics:
The purchasing assistant should be someone who: 
 
  • creates visibility and optimization to the process 
  • getting the lowest cost possible 
  • checking timelines  
  • Maintains stable performance when under heavy pressure or stress. 
  • Often solicits feedback and reacts calmly to criticism or negative feedback. 
  • Speaks and writes clearly and articulately without being overly verbose or talkative. Maintains this standard in all forms of written communication, including e-mail. 
  • Reaches out to peers and cooperates with supervisors to establish an overall collaborative working relationship 
  • Expects personal performance and team performance to be nothing short of the best. 


Qualifications and Skills:
The purchasing assistant should be someone who has: 
 
  • Degree or Diploma in supply chain 
  • Experience working in NetSuite (Oracle) 
  • 2 years working experience performing similar duties 
  • Strong sense of integrity and commitment 
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task 
  • Team spirit and problem-solving abilities 
  • Able to assist the Head of Supply and Operation (during annual leave, sickness and or workload) 
  • Available for 38 hours a week
